The fashion industry has constructed an image of perfection based on order, novelty, and the constant desire to consume. However, behind this façade lies a much more chaotic reality: tons of textile waste, overproduction, and an endless need to buy more and more. Fast fashion brands have intensified this problem by offering low-cost garments with short-lived quality, encouraging fast, impulsive, and often unnecessary consumption. Under the excuse of following trends and belonging to a particular aesthetic, the wardrobe becomes a space of accumulation. This editorial emerges from this contradiction. At first glance, the looks appear orderly, understated, and even minimalist, constructed entirely in black and white. However, upon closer inspection, the chaos begins to emerge. Garments are deconstructed, layered, and transformed. Trousers turned into the foundation for multiple layers, skirts fastened with safety pins to disrupt their original shapes, and incomplete silhouettes visually represent the excess and saturation that define the fashion industry. Contrast will be essential: while the model will wear monochromatic and seemingly simple looks, the surroundings will be invaded by mountains of colorful clothing, serving as a symbol of waste and mass consumption. An image that challenges the false sense of control projected by fashion, revealing that behind its perfectly organized shop windows, disorder also exists.
